Abstract

Various phenomena that appear in society and in the context of social interactions can be studied independently or from another epistemological perspective. The phenomenon of aging is one of the topics that has been studied from different epistemological perspectives, including sociology, which has been called by sociologists and sociologists as the sociology of aging. The sociological approach of aging pays attention to the role of social factors in the emergence of aging, the social process of aging, sociological actions and behavior of the elderly, the type of society's view of the elderly and also the social role in supporting the elderly. Thus, sociologists deal with aging or the aging process of individuals from functionalist, conflict, interactive-symbolic, and postmodern social perspectives to analyze the complexity and diversity of the aging process in its context and social context. In this regard, the present study, with the aim of analyzing and explaining theoretical approaches in the sociology of aging, seeks to clarify the horizons of the phenomenon of aging, its theoretical dimensions and complexity, The field of sociology of aging is going to be groundbreaking. In this research, according to the nature of the subject and objectives of the research, in order to obtain the required information, library data and documents have been used and the method used in this research is analytical-descriptive.
