Abstract

Any person can make comments about a historical event, but these correct or incorrect comments can have significant social effects and therefore require the government's intervention in this regard. This research was done by analytical-descriptive method and its purpose is to analyze the Islamic-Iranian model of supporting the facts. It was concluded that free investigation regarding the facts cannot be considered absolute and such freedom has not been granted anywhere in the world. Therefore, social interests have demanded that comments regarding some historical events are criminalized, which can be part of Islamic sacredness. At the same time, even if the statements are true, there should be limits for research in this field. In our country, the death penalty for those who insult Islamic holy things has been provided, which completes the Islamic model of this matter, but there was no discussion about social expediency, which requires the attention of criminal legislators in this regard. The Islamic Penal Code is also not complete in this regard, so it is suggested to determine the punishments for denying some historical events.
