Abstract

Throughout the history of political thought, especially after the era of modernity, various types of social political orders have been proposed by Western theorists for the development of European societies, which have had a significant impact on the type of governments and governments of the whole world. But since these ideas are not compatible with the Iranian-Islamic model, it has created a kind of confusion among modern Iranian thinkers and intellectuals for which no definitive answer has been provided so far.Ayatollah Taleghani, as one of the most prominent religious innovators of the revolutionary era, although he did not explicitly mention the type of ideal state model for Islamic-Iranian progress, but by examining his works, we can understand the obstacles and solutions to achieve progress that is consistent with the Iranian Islamic model. Therefore, the present research has been done by analyzing Taleghani's thoughts in three real, imaginary and symbolic formats as a step towards explaining the Iranian Islamic model of progress. This research, with a qualitative approach and using the Lacanian triple model, on the one hand, examines the issue of what kind of government Ayatollah Taleghani provides for the development of the Iranian Islamic society. And on the other hand, it investigates the obstacles of the Pahlavi government for the prosperity of the society. The research method is based on analytical-descriptive strategy based on library studies and its results show that Ayatollah Taleghani considers the Shura-based democracy as a desirable model of government for the progress of man and society and an alternative to Western examples.
