Abstract

The term Islamic civilization has allocated a major part of the world’s historiographical and civilizational research to itself. The nature, mode of growth, rise, blossoming and dynamism of Islamic civilization are significant questions whose knowledge would not only enable one to have a command of the history of Islam and Iran but also would cause the discovery of many civilizational traditions in the cultural, political and social fields. The fourth and fifth centuries (hegira) are the period of dynamism of Islamic civilization, which is known as the Islamic Golden Age and Islamic Renaissance, whose manifestations are reflected in different civilizational arenas such as art, architecture, urban development, etc. This research has been conducted to attain an approach for a theoretical framework for leading the Islamic-Iranian model of progress under the modern Islamic civilization. The main question of this paper is as follows: What are the factors responsible for dynamism of this Islamic civilization? The findings of this paper include better understanding of pivotal factors that paved the way for the development of this civilization, the sublime culture of Islam, professional scientists, and efficient rulers. Descriptive-analytical method has been used for the analysis of the data collected from library sources. The results will be used for major policymaking and decision-making purposes.
