Abstract
Peaceful coexistence with the followers of other religions as a sign of a civilized society is one of the fundamental principles of Islam and emphasized by Islam, therefore, the relationship between Muslims and the followers of other religions should always be accompanied by good neighborliness and tolerance. On the other hand, Islam has principles whose implementation has an essential and identity aspect for Islam, even though some of them are incompatible with the culture of other nations and religions. Therefore, it should not be thought that the requirement of Islam's emphasis on peaceful coexistence is permissible to fail in the implementation of those principles, because the real realization of peaceful Islamic coexistence is accompanied by the strict implementation of Islamic principles. This research has been done in the descriptive and analytical method of Islamic teachings and their logical classification by collecting data in the library method and extracting files from sources and also by using electronic tools. The summary finding of the research is that it is possible to realize the principle of peaceful Islamic coexistence with the followers of other religions by emphasizing the full implementation of the principles and rules of identity of Islam and not failing to implement them.
