Abstract
With the increase of organizations with a flat structure and the reduction of management positions in the middle layer, the possibility of vertical promotion of employees in organizations has decreased. The prevalence of organizational plateaus will be one of the consequences of failure to compete for positions at higher levels of the organizational hierarchy. The present study will examine the role of perceived organizational support in the relationship between occupational plateau and organizational citizenship behavior and organizational commitment. Since the elites are among the software components of the system of any society, whose performance affects the entire social, political, cultural and economic system of the country, the present research will be conducted among the managers and employees of the national organization of the elites. Descriptive (non-experimental) research method is correlation and questionnaire was used. Structural equations have also been used to check the conceptual model. The results of the research confirm the role of perceived organizational support in the effects of job burnout. Also, the results indicate a significant and inverse effect between job plateau and variables of commitment and organizational citizenship behavior.
